Matt Marchand wants to hear more from residents on the issues important to them

WINDSOR, ON – Today, the Matt Marchand for Ward 4 Campaign vowed to knock on every door in Ward 4 before Election Day on Monday, October 24.

“I want to hear from everyone in the Ward on their concerns, issues, what we’re doing right and what we’re doing wrong,” said Ward 4 candidate Matt Marchand. “I want to give everyone a chance to tell me about the issues that are important to them.”

In addition to going door-to-door to talk directly with residents, the Matt Marchand for Ward 4 Campaign has installed a Neighbourhood Idea Box in the 900 block of Monmouth Road.

“Many say that their best ideas happen when they are out for a walk, run, or bike ride. This ‘Good for the Hood’ Neighbourhood Idea Box provides an opportunity for neighbours to jot down their ideas or fill out a short survey about their ideas and concerns,” said Marchand.

The Matt Marchand For Ward 4 Campaign will also be releasing a weekly video podcast, premiering September 12 on Facebook and YouTube, discussing the platform planks every Monday up until Election Day. Residents are invited to submit questions and to review and add their own input into platform pieces.

By offering a variety of communication styles, the Matt Marchand For Ward 4 Campaign hopes to engage residents through many different ways on their concerns and ideas for the Ward.

“I’ve learned from my 12 years in Mayor Mike Hurst’s Office and my six years as the President and CEO of the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce, you need to be open for ideas and concerns,” said Marchand.

Matt Marchand is running for City Council for Ward 4, with his Proven Policy Success and 20 years of working with the highest levels of local government and business. Marchand will be listening to residents and focusing on community priorities such as safety, affordability, and livability.
